Taika is Finnish for magic: the spell that holds three materials, three countries and three pairs of hands in a single silhouet.
Designed to be both visually impactful and beautifully tactile, these large vessels highlight the interplay between porous ceramic, smooth hand-turned wood, and translucent artisan-blown glass. Their generous proportions amplify each material's natural character, making them a functional artwork for the modern home.

When disassembled, each vessel separates into three individual components:
– A large glass bowl
– A large ceramic bowl
– A wooden container or lid

Originally designed and prototyped in 2013 (and called Transformed Stacking Vessel) , Taika Vessel reflects our long-standing commitment to timeless design and thoughtful craftsmanship.

Each element is handmade in Europe by expert artisans:

• Czech Republic – Elegant artisan-blown glass with a subtle, luminous finish

• Italy – Rich, textured handmade ceramic shaped with traditional methods

• Finland – Smooth, warm turned wood crafted in small-batch studios

The components are then transported to our facility in Northern Germany, where each piece is assembled by hand with care and precision.
