The piece disassembles into very large vase, a big metal bowl and a decent size wooden container.
Designed and prototyped in 2017.

The materials come to our warehouse in Germany where they are fitted and assembled.

Scarabee is the result of true team work. It takes five man to make this piece.
Designer for scale
The mould itself weighs some 50kg of wet heavy wood, and is made in six parts. About two to three pieces a day is the maximum our hotshop team can blow.
even Heat
Not just blowing the piece is hard, but also maintaining an even heat. The body is thinner once its blown and has to be kept warm until the thicker parts are cool enough for the piece to be put into the cooling oven for 24h.
