Kyoto and Osaka are inspired by Japanese culture and custom.

The piece combines a large bulbous glass bowl with a ceramic plate and a small wooden bowl.

Designed and prototyped in 2023

Dimensions are approximate, due to the handmade nature of the materials.
The materials come to our warehouse in Germany where they are fitted and assembled.

Wood turning

sculpting

The entire surface of sculpt is diamond cut with horizontal lines.

These are marked with a pen to give the cutter a direction and then freehand carved into the glass.

Wood waxing

Rough to refined

The initial cut is made with a rough diamond, allowing for the cutter to really carve into the material.
After this the cuts are refined with a finer diamond grain, leaving a satin like surface.
