HANDBLOWN GLASS, CZECHIA/ HANDSPUN METAL, UK / HANDTURNED WOOD, FINLAND

With their contemporary yet timeless composition, the India Stacking Vessels are among our most iconic and enduring pieces, first introduced in 2012. Originally designed for a special craft exhibition at Sotheby’s London celebrating India, they marked a pivotal moment in the evolution of Utopia & Utility’s design philosophy.

Each vessel is a sculptural celebration of materials and craftsmanship, thoughtfully composed of three interlocking parts: a hand-blown glass vase, a spun metal bowl, and a turned wooden bowl. These components can be assembled into a harmonious form or separated for individual use, offering both functional beauty and artistic expression.

Over a decade later, the India series continues to captivate with its modular design, artisan-made quality, and cultural resonance, making it a cornerstone of our collectible collection.
