Ilona is a fluid, almost liquid looking Stacking Vessel.
The piece is freehand blown and shaped on the iron, making each piece entirely unique.

Ilona can be disassembled into a glass vase and wooden bowl.

Designed and prototyped in 2021.

Dimensions are approximate, due to the handmade nature of the materials.
The materials come to our warehouse in Germany where they are fitted and assembled.

shaped by hand

IIlona is entirely shaped by hand.
Each piece is touched by heat, fire and the human hand, resulting in a fluid and unique shape from heavy glass.

density

Characteristic for this piece is a heavy layer of clear glass on the base, while the colour is trapped on the inside.
This creates beautiful optical effects.

Annealing

Due to the weight on the glass, the pieces need to be cooled down for a long time in an annealing oven, ensuring there is no stress in the glass.
