Craftsmanship and Materials
Each Branch Bowl features a freehand-blown glass vessel, meticulously crafted in the UK without the use of molds, allowing the inner surface of the glass bubble to become the bowl’s outer rim. This technique results in soft, rounded edges that define their distinctive, organic form. The wooden lids are sourced from tree trunks, carefully selected to proportionally fit each glass piece. These lids are dried for a year to preserve the bark's integrity, then hand-shaped in Germany using saws and sanders, and finished with oil to enhance their natural beauty.
Designed and prototyped in 2014.
